Meet the Canary Divers Crew

Stuart

Mel

Dave

Stuart is the owner of Canary Divers and is a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer.
He has dived in many locations around the world and, with plenty of experience in customer service, will go out of his way to make sure you enjoy your diving.
Stuart has dived in the Caribbean, Red Sea, Canaries, Gozo, Greece, France, Spain and the UK.
Mel is married to Stuart and spends a lot of her time working in the Canary Divers shop.
Mel keeps Stuart organised and is on her way to completing her Divemaster course.
Mel has been diving for over 7 years mainly in the UK, the Canaries and Dominican Republic.
Dave runs the website for Canary Divers.
He is also a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and has a personal interest in photography and videography.
Dave dives regularly in the UK and has also enjoyed diving in Gozo, Red Sea and Dominican Republic. He can often be seen wearing shorts in the middle of winter with a bottle of lucozade and a snickers in tow.

Colin

Adam

Edward

Colin is one of Canary Diver's Divemasters and has been diving for many years.
He has dived all around the world and is always on hand to assist any less experienced divers and pass on the knowledge he has gained through his experiences
As an avid Blackburn Rovers fan he knows better than most that many attempts eventually yield excellent results.
Colin was recently spotted diving with a plaster cast on his arm after an accident involving a ladder!
After completing his PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor exams in Cyprus Adam decided that he missed the stunning visibility and temperatures in the UK and has returned here to train new divers. He is also a DAN and EFR instructor.
He has been diving for over 10 years.
Adam has dived around the world and is currently instructing in Spain
Edward is an Assistant Instructor at Canary Divers.
He is 6ft 10 tall and, after originally learning to dive in Australia, returned to the UK and continued his diving with Canary Divers.
After diving in a wetsuit all through winter for 3 years Ed has finally bought a dry suit and is starting a commercial diving course during 2009.

Neil

Ken

William

Neil is a Divemaster with Canary Divers. He is one of the calmest divers you will ever find and you are always in safe hands when he is around.
Whilst not known for his love of (or experience of) early mornings he is never shy in putting people at ease.
Ken is one of Canary Diver's divemasters who is always on hand to give advice and assistance. He is also the scientist of the team who can answer those really hard questions. Ask him about isotropy and thixotropy sometime!
Absolutely fascinating and explained in language that anyone can understand!
Will is one of Canary Diver's Rescue Divers.
He is always up for diving, even if it means an early start, and is especially keen to dive if it means he can share his enthusiasm.
With a dry sense of humour (well, humour may be a bit of a white lie), he makes any evening enjoyable.

Alison

Michael

Alison is a Rescue Diver who also teaches various martial arts (so what she says goes!)
Alison likes to stand out; as her latest tank re-spray shows. On a recent club weekend she was seen sleeping in a 1-man dalmation tent in the pouring rain and almost hurricane conditions - I dont think Argos certified it for those conditions but ... Mount Everest next year?
Michael is one of the Divemasters at Canary Divers. He has quite a subtle (dry) sense of humour and is by far the best fed on club trips.
The full English breakfasts he eats (courtesy of his wife) would not be misplaced in a decent cafe!
